Hi, I’m Sam Halliwell—the maker, designer, and all-round one-woman band behind Hare and Moon Jewellery. I create simple, elegant silver jewellery using sterling silver and silver metal clay, all handmade by me in my home studio.
Jewellery can be so much more than decoration. We wear it to remember, to express ourselves, to feel connected. I want my pieces to do exactly that—to resonate with the person wearing them. Whether it’s a reminder of salty air and sandy toes from my Seashore Collection, a nod to wild blooms and woodland walks in Botanicals, or the quiet symbolism of cycles and change in my Come Full Circle Collection, each piece is made with meaning.
I don’t believe jewellery should be kept for “best.” Life’s too short for that. I make pieces you’ll want to wear every day—because they’re comfortable, thoughtful, and full of personal touches. Whether it brings back a memory, marks a moment, or simply makes you smile, I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
And if you’re wondering—yes, I do still get excited every time I open the kiln. It’s like Christmas morning... only shinier.

Quality is just as important to me as design—so each item is carefully made to be worn, loved, and enjoyed for years to come. Whether it's something simple for everyday wear or a meaningful gift, I believe jewellery should feel good to wear and do a little good for the planet too.
