A personal update
I am sorry it has been so long and I am sure those of you who follow me on social media are aware but the last couple of months have not been so good. My husband is currently dealing with a difficult diagnosis and has had to have some major surgery and I am focusing on supporting him through this time. Alongside this I am also struggling with some health issues. I have therefore taken the difficult decision to pause my jewellery classes for the forseeable future. This was not

Christmas markets, sparkle and festive cheer
It’s that wonderful time of year again – the fairy lights are twinkling, the smell of mulled wine is in the air, and my workshop is a hive of activity as I finish off the last few pieces ready for the festive markets! I absolutely love this time of year – it’s busy, yes, but there’s something so magical about seeing people wandering around Christmas markets, wrapped up in scarves and gloves, clutching hot chocolates while they browse for special handmade gifts. This Christmas

A Short Pause, Some Big Decisions, and Looking Ahead to 2026
Over the next few days, Hare & Moon Jewellery will be taking a short pause. From 1st January 2026 my website will be closed for five days while I review prices, stock levels, and how I move the business forward into 2026. I wanted to take a moment to explain why I’m doing this, what it means for you as a customer, and what’s coming next. This isn’t a dramatic reset or a goodbye — more of a quiet, practical recalibration. Why I’m Closing the Website Briefly Running a small, ha

Why buy handmade?
Someone posted on Instagram today about prices of handmade jewellery and it got me thinking. I know I have posted about this before but it is always worth saying it again. Why should you buy handmade? "Its so expensive". "I can buy it cheaper off Amazon / Temu / Aliexpress". Let me explain why you should consider handmade. Handmade jewellery stands as a symbol of craftsmanship, individuality and sustainability. Handmade pieces offer a depth of meaning and quality that mass pr

Having a wobble
Ok before I start I need you to know this isn't for sympathy or to make you all feel sorry for me - this is a useful tool for me to get thoughts down and I have decided to share as it is useful for you to see what goes through my head regularly 😬 I have come into a small amount of money - unexpectedly. Not a lot but enough to buy a couple of big things I have had on a list for a while such as a rolling mill and a bigger torch. I went to my computer this morning to order them

Discover the Art of Jewellery Making with Our New Workshops
Join Our Keum Boo Workshop So, I have finally got my act together and sorted out another workshop for those of you who want to try your hand at making your own jewellery. I have just added a Keum Boo workshop to my classes. This ancient Korean technique bonds 24K gold foil to silver using heat and pressure. It's a brilliant way to add some luxury to your jewellery. Whoever said you shouldn't mix your metals was so wrong. Look how gorgeous these are together! So simple but so

Autumn jewellery arrivals and behind the scenes at Hare and Moon Jewellery
Elegant silver circle earrings with dangly chain design, perfect for a stylish and modern look. There’s something about the shift into autumn that always feels like a little reset. The mornings are crisp, the evenings draw in earlier, and suddenly I find myself reaching for cosy jumpers, hot cups of tea, candles dotted all around the house and my warm, cosy 10 tog duvet. Autumn has always been my favourite season – not just for the golden leaves and the damp, misty mornings,

Embracing Change: My Silver Clay Journey and Self-Development Goals
Happy New Year! 🎉 If you’re reading this, I want to start by apologising for my radio silence over the last 6 or 7 weeks. Picture me back in September, tossing my "metaphorical" mortarboard hat in the air after finishing my silver metal clay diploma. I was brimming with excitement, eager to embrace the potential that lay ahead but I launched straight into Christmas preparations, which swept me off my feet faster than you can say "craft fair." Christmas market prep felt like

A new chapter: focusing on jewellery design
After much thought and reflection, I’ve decided to take a break from offering silver clay workshops. While it’s been a wonderful experience teaching and sharing this amazing substance I’ve noticed that the demand for these workshops has slowed down. Rather than seeing this as a setback, I’m embracing it as an opportunity to refocus my creative energy. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be dedicating more time to my passion for jewellery design! This shift will allow me to expl

Tiny little pumpkins
Ok I know it's not autumn and forgive me for talking about something we think of more later in the year but I have to share this with you all. I talked earlier in the year about taking some time for me. This year, I wanted to develop my silver clay skills further and consolidate what I learned in the silver metal clay diploma I completed last year. An Inspiring Weekend at the Silver Clay Academy Last weekend, I spent three days with Emma Roy at her fabulous Silver Clay Academ
