I have had the dreaded lurgy the last couple of days. Its definitely not nice but paracetamol has been very helpful keeping the temperature under control and I am testing negative for COVID which is good.
Some of you may know that my dad has been very ill over the last year and I am focusing on making sure I get better so I can see him and the rest of my family over Christmas so I have downed tools for now until the New Year. Thankfully the treatment he had in September appears to be doing its thing and he is making slow steps in the right direction which is amazing for us to see.
As usual this is a time of year for reflection. I have looked back on this year with mixed feelings and honestly, like most of us will be glad to see 2022 move over for 2023. It is nice, though, for me to look back at Hare and Moon Jewellery and I am really pleased with how things have gone since I launched back in the spring.
I have had lovely customers buy jewellery from me and met a whole community of small businesses that I have purchased from this Christmas including
https://www.cornerlanedesigns.co.uk - I bought a gorgeous chocolate cocker spaniel tree decoration
http://www.katebrazier.com - I bought a beautiful picture from the very talented Kate for my sisters 50th birthday
https://wixy.co.uk - OMG the Lemongrass and Ginger candle smells amazing
https://shorelinepartners.co.uk/westgate-galleria/ - who have very kindly agreed to stock my jewellery and have amazing local businesses in their shop and is definitely a little treasure trove to visit.
One of my most favourite items that I have made this year has been my seashell earrings. They are simple earrings but using the silver metal clay in the mould has allowed me to get so much detail. I think these will be a firm favourite for the future.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your support over the past year. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy healthy 2023. I look forward to continuing my journey and having you guys along for the ride.
