A friend of mine named these when I posted them on Instagram and i asked if I could have the name and she said yes!! Channeling a bit of David Bowie these gorgeous silver studs have a flash of 24k gold through them. Who said you can't mix your metals - of course you can and these are proof of that.
 
The stars are made from silver metal clay and after they are fired and textured I have added 24K gold leaf using the Keum boo method. This uses high heat to bond the gold leaf to the silver. After this I have soldered a sterling silver earring post and they fasten with a scroll back. I have then tumbled them in my tumbler to bring out a high shine. 
 
I'm not usually a gold person but these I would definitely wear ❤️
