Autumn jewellery arrivals and behind the scenes at Hare and Moon Jewellery

There’s something about the shift into autumn that always feels like a little reset. The mornings are crisp, the evenings draw in earlier, and suddenly I find myself reaching for cosy jumpers, hot cups of tea, candles dotted all around the house and my warm, cosy 10 tog duvet.
Autumn has always been my favourite season – not just for the golden leaves and the damp, misty mornings, but also because it inspires so much of what I create here at Hare and Moon Jewellery.
This year, the change in seasons has brought an updated Circle Collection for autumn and winter – my range of handmade silver jewellery that I’m so excited to share with you. The circle has always been a symbol of wholeness and continuity, and I love how it reflects the rhythm of the seasons – a gentle reminder of nature’s cycles as we move into the colder months. Think delicate designs that sit beautifully against chunky knits, subtle sparkle for those shorter days, and timeless styles that work whether you’re layering up for a long woodland walk or dressing for a dinner out. The jewellery is about to be sent off for hallmarking and will be added to my website soon so keep your eyes open.

Behind the Scenes
I thought it might be fun to give you a little peek into what goes on behind the scenes at Hare and Moon Jewellery. While the finished pieces might look effortless, there’s a lot of trial, error, and mess in the making! My workbench right now is a happy chaos of silver scraps, polishing cloths, endless cups of tea and packages waiting to zoom off to be hallmarked and then added to my website.

Designing for autumn always feels special. I spend a lot of time walking, collecting inspiration from nature – the curves of bare branches, the texture of fallen leaves, the myriad of seeds on the trees and the ground. Back in the studio, I’ll sketch and test ideas until something just clicks. It’s a slow process, but one I adore. There’s nothing quite like seeing an idea come to life in metal, ready to be worn and loved as part of someone’s autumn style accessories.
And of course, behind the jewellery-making, there’s everything else that comes with running a small business – photographing new pieces, writing product descriptions, scheduling posts for Instagram (@hareandmoonjewellery if you’re not already following along!), and carefully wrapping orders ready to post. It’s a one-woman show most of the time, which means I wear a lot of hats – but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Autumn Style
When the weather cools, I love paring back my jewellery to simple, versatile pieces that still make me feel put-together. A delicate pendant over a soft roll-neck jumper, little silver studs that go with everything. Jewellery in autumn doesn’t need to be bold to make an impact – sometimes it’s the understated designs that feel the most special.
That’s the thinking behind this season’s new arrivals: elegant everyday jewellery you can wear without fuss. They’re made to last, to become part of your autumn wardrobe year after year – the kind of jewellery you forget you’re even wearing until someone compliments it.
Thank You
Running Hare and Moon Jewellery is such a joy, and that’s down to you – the people who read these posts, follow along on Instagram, and choose to support handmade, small-batch jewellery. Every order means the world to me, and I hope these autumn arrivals bring a little seasonal magic your way.
So here’s to golden leaves, crisp mornings, cosy jumpers, and autumn jewellery. I can’t wait to see how you style your pieces this season.
TTFN❤️
