Thank you so very much

I have just done 2 days at the Turner Contemporary in Margate at the Designers and Makers Market. Wow what a fantastic 2 days I have had. I am absolutely knackered now but it was amazing. And I'm not just talking sales (which were good thank you so much to everyone who bought from me) but generally.

I met some lovely people who were browsing - I had some really lovely chats with people about my silver, about silver metal clay and just stuff generally. I was speaking with Hope from Bindfullness Books (follow her on Instagram @hopefitzgerald_art) and we were chatting about how lovely it is just to speak with people. Yes I want people to buy from me but you know what maybe it's not just about that but more about the interaction and developing a relationship with someone. It's about them going away thinking that they have just had a lovely few minutes with someone chatting about stuff. I would love to think that there are a few people over the past 2 days who have gone home and said " I went to a market today and got chatting with this lovely lady selling jewellery and it was a really nice chat". That makes me feel a little bit warm and fuzzy.

Anyway - a wonderful thing has happened - I have a very reduced stock following my very successful 2 days and the weekend before as well. I am therefore not doing any more markets until next year now and probably not until around March time. Watch this space. Production is likely to be slower as well as I now turn to getting my own house ready for Christmas. It's my first one as a nanny so I am really looking forward to spending some time with my grandson and his mum and dad as well as my wider family. It's been a challenging couple of years for us as a family and we enjoy spending time together just to be grateful we have each other.

I am pleased to announce that as of January I will be offering 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 silver metal clay workshops in my home studio. Tickets are available from my website in the workshop section and there is more information there for you if you need it. There are no fixed dates please contact me to arrange a date that suits us both. I am available Saturdays, Sundays and some Mondays through the year. I am also happy to arrange sessions for larger groups up to 6 people at Westgate Galleria in Westgate - on - Sea. Again dates may be able to be negotiated depending on availability at the gallery. I am also looking at doing classes out towards Herne Bay and Whitstable so if you live that way and want to come to a class let me know.

I will be adding remaining stock back onto my website over the next day or two and you can still buy jewellery from me through here right up to Christmas and beyond.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for being on this journey with me and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2024.

Lots of love hugs and happiness

Sam xxxx
