Ok I know it's not autumn and forgive me for talking about something we think of more later in the year but I have to share this with you all.
I talked earlier in the year about taking some time for me. This year, I wanted to develop my silver clay skills further and consolidate what I learned in the silver metal clay diploma I completed last year.
An Inspiring Weekend at the Silver Clay Academy
Last weekend, I spent three days with Emma Roy at her fabulous Silver Clay Academy. The purpose of this visit was to learn from the amazingly talented Anna Mazon from Drakonaria, who was our fantastic host. Anna creates the most exquisite jewellery from silver metal clay. She does not use moulds; instead, all of her work is hand-formed.
Sadly, due to time and money constraints, I could not attend all three workshops offered. However, I was fortunate enough to participate in her pumpkin house workshop. I learned so much during that time.

Can you believe that something like this at the end of day one looked like this just two days later?

This is my piece, and I won't be making copies of it. The design is Anna's, but it has inspired me with so many ideas for future pieces. So keep your eyes open!

Upcoming Workshops
My 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 classes are going really well. If you’re interested, check my website for more information about my Introduction to Silver Metal Clay Workshop. I will be adding my seashore-inspired workshop again soon, so keep an eye out for that!
In addition, I hope to be getting a larger home studio soon. This will allow me to teach slightly bigger classes, so stay tuned for updates. If more than two of you would like to join a class, please email me at sam.halliwell50@yahoo.com or message me here or on my socials. We can discuss venues and prices.
Enjoy the Weekend!
Now, enough chatting! Get out there and enjoy the sunshine this weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mums, stepmums, aunts, surrogate mums, etc. Let’s also remember the mothers who may not be with us ❤️❤️.
I can't wait to share more about my journey with silver metal clay and my workshops with you soon. Thank you for being part of this adventure!
